With the biggest festival of Nepalis, Dashain, formally starting after Ghatasthapana, markets in Kathmandu are seeing crowds of shoppers while long lines of buses leaving the capital for the districts can be seen at different transit points. The cheap shops opened by the government have also attracted a large number of Dashain shoppers.
