Retired Major General of the Indian Army Ashok Mehta, one of the prominent ‘Nepal watchers’, has said India did not have any direct role in Nepal’s peace process and that India would not intervene in Nepal’s internal affairs. He also said ‘one Madhes one province’ demand is not viable given the presence of several ethnic communities in Madhes.
