Nepal Pharma Expo -2012,  is scheduled to start from March 2  at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

Association of Pharmaceutical Producers of Nepal (APPON) in association with Nepal Graduate Pharmacists Association and Nepal Pharmaceutical Association have  organised of the  the expo with an aim of disseminating information about the domestic production of medicine.

The fourth edition of Expo has the  theme “Synergy towards Excellence”.

The three-day expo will feature total 100 national and international pharmaceutical companies including 40 domestic and 60 from foreign manufacturers  showcasing their products and services during the exhibition, said the organisers.

The Expo  will offer single platform to disseminate wide range of products/services that includes pharma processing plants equipments, packing materials and machineries, fine chemicals, bulk drugs, environmental control equipments, lab equipments and pharma related services to the prospective customers, said the organisers.

According to the APPON, the domestic products has 42 percent market share while it is growing at 18-20 percent annually.

The organisers have  expected some 50,000 visitors during the event. nepalnew.com
