The high-level delegation of Indian investors led by Ashok Haldia, director of Power Trade Corporation (PTC) India Financial Services Ltd., is here to study on Nepal’s hydropower development and its potentials.
The delegation is here following the joint meeting of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) recently held in Kolkata, India.
During their visit, the delegation is also set to hold meeting with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai regarding Nepal’s hydropower sector.
The delegation also met Energy Minister Posta Bahadur Bogati on Monday and expressed that the Indian investors are interested to make investment in Nepal’s hydropower sector.
On the occasion, they also demanded investment friendly environment and commitment from the concern authorities to secure their investment along with favourable policy. nepalnews.com
