Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has urged the foreign donor agencies in Nepal to support in the economic development of the country.
During a meeting with donor agencies here in the capital on Friday, FM Pun urged them to provide assistance especially in the hydropower sector and infrastructure development.
Saying that the government has already formed the Investment Board under the chairmanship of Prime Minister in order to attract foreign investment, Pun said Nepal was expecting foreign assistance in major infrastructure projects.
On the occasion, Finance Secretary Krishna Hari Baskota said that the overall economy of the country is in the positive direction.
According to Finance Ministry officials attending the meeting, the representatives of donors said that they willing to continue to provide assistance to Nepal in different areas.
