Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index continued to decline by 0.25 points to close at 312.13 points over last week while it had declined by 0.09 points over the previous week.

Last week, NEPSE traded with 112 companies registering Rs. 99.4 million through 5954 transactions from the five trading days (Sunday to Thursday) while it had traded with traded with 118 companies registering Rs. 106.2 million through 5784 transactions over the previous week.

Of the total transaction, Group A companies alone contributed Rs. 59.4 million which is 59.74 percent of the total turnover.

As per the sub-indices of all the groups, commercial banks, manufacturing group, insurance, Finance and development banks lost 0.67 points, 17.28 points, 1.13 points, 1 points, and 2.50 points, respectively while other group, hydropower, and trading group are in the positive growth by 9.40 points, 2.04 points, and 0.26 points, respectively.

Bank of Kathmandu (Rs. 13.61 million), Standard Chartered Bank (Rs. 11.76 million), Everest Bank (Rs. 8.11 million), Kist Bank (Rs. 7.29 million), and Chilime Hydropower Company (Rs. 7.19 million) stood at the top five companies to make the highest amount of turnover last week. nepalnews.com
