Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has slightly increased by 0.73 points to close at 312.59 points over last week while it had declined by 0.25 points to close at 312.13 points the previous week.
Last week, NEPSE traded with 105 companies registering Rs. 36.92 million through 2318 transactions from the two trading days (Sunday to Thursday) while it had traded with 112 companies registering Rs. 99.4 million through 5954 transactions from the five trading days the previous week.
Of the total transaction, Group A companies alone contributed Rs. 14.3 million which is 46.70 percent of the total turnover.
As per the sub-indices of all the groups, hotel, hydropower, insurance, finance and development banks are in the negative growth by 1.13 points, 1.30 points, 0.96 points, and 0.49 points, respectively while commercial bank and other group are in the positive growth by 0.47 points and 4.70 points, respectively.
Nepal Telecom (Rs. 5.49 million), Everest Bank (Rs. 3.05 million), Bank of Kathmandu (Rs. 2.48 million), Nepal SBI Bank (Rs. 2.01 million) and Shikhar Insurance Company (Rs. 1.90 million) stood as the top five companies to make the highest amount of turnover last week. nepalnews.com
