Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal (FCAN) has urged the government to maintain effective peace and security for the contractors.
Condemning the attack by an unidentified gang to its member Rum Bahadur Rai from Sindupalchowk district on Saturday, FCAN demanded for strong security in the construction industry as the entrepreneurs involved in the sector face attacks from criminal gangs if they refuse to pay them "donations".
The association has also demanded strong action against the culprit as per the existing law and compensation to the victim. nepalnews.com
