Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has slightly increased by 0.42 points to settle at 303.70 points from 303.20 points last week.
During the four trading days, NEPSE traded with 119 companies registering the turnover of Rs. 81 million through 4980 transactions while it had traded with 120 companies registering the turnover of Rs. 201.35 million through 4494 transactions the previous week.
Of the total transaction, Group A companies alone contributed Rs. 55.4 million which is 68.45 percent of the total turnover.
As per the sub-indices of all the groups, commercial bank, manufacturing group, and hotel witnessed positive growth by 1.51 points, 10.38 points, and 5.42 points, respectively while hydropower, trading, insurance, finance and development banks are witnessed negative growth by 10.61 points, 1.71 points, 3.89 points, 0.42 points and 1.60 points, respectively.
Sanima Bank (Rs. 10.56 million), Everest Bank (Rs. 6.97 million), Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (Rs.5.19 million), Bank of Kathmandu (Rs. 4.25 million), and Bishal Bazar Company (Rs. 4.11 million) were the top five companies to witness the highest transaction last week. nepalnews.com
