Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Sunday said that the agriculture sector should be boosted with priority along with increasing investment in it for the economic prosperity of the country.

Inaugurating the international workshop entitled “Bringing together technologies, innovations and information for growth and sustainability of agribusiness”, PM Bhattarai said, adding that agriculture should be developed in such away that this sector would create employment opportunity and generate income opportunities.

Saying that agriculture sector would also be one of the major sectors to alleviate poverty, PM said agriculture development was always in government’s priority. The government will also give more priority in the next budget for agriculture commercialisation, he added. Nepalnews.com
