The Federation of Nepalis Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU)on Sunday.

The purpose of this MoU is to identify the responsibilities of the signatories as they relate to promoting entrepreneurship and job creation in Nepal, according to a press statement.

In particular, this MOU is intended to create economic opportunities in Nepal by FNCCI and TiE,  reaching out to entrepreneurs, educational institutions and businesses, and assisting in their growth and global competitiveness.

As per the agreement, FNCCI and TiE would provide mentoring, networking and educational opportunities for current and would-be entrepreneurs in Nepal by leveraging TiE Global network of successful entrepreneurs and investors.

Similarly, they will undertake projects and activities leading to investment, IP creation, skill enhancement, talent nurturing, and job creation and create a demand driven atmosphere in Nepal along with integrating Nepalis entrepreneurs in TiE's Global Network, as appropriate.

"TiE Catalyst" connects TiE's large and very successful core of engineers and entrepreneurs across its 57 chapters worldwide with innovators in their respective fields leading to new entrepreneurial opportunities and creative solutions.  TiE Catalyst connects local TiE chapters via a virtual vehicle to the best of mentoring, networking, talent, and capital across the continents and from diverse disciplines. nepalnews.com
