The gold price set new record high of Rs. 56,000 per tola (11.644 gm) on the last trading day of this week on Friday following the revision of custom duty in the imports of precious metal.
The gold price has increased by Rs. 600 per tola from Rs. 55,400 per tola on Thursday to set new record high.
The revision in the custom duty in the imports of gold has affected the price in the domestic market on Friday, according to Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (NGSDA).
