The Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi, India, organized a programme on Economic Diplomacy entitled "Business Opportunities in Nepal" in Dehradun, Uttarakhanda, Wednesday.
Addressing the programme, Khaga Nath Adhikari, Charge d'Affaires, highlighted multidimensional aspects of Nepal-India relations,
particularly economic and commercial ties. He encouraged the business community from Uttarakhand to explore business and investment opportunities in Nepal. Similarly, Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Minister (Economic) of the Embassy made a detailed presentation on Trade, Tourism and Investment opportunities in Nepal and Visit Lumbini Year 2012.
Rakesh Sharma, Principal Secretary of Industrial Development of Uttarakhand, recalled the visit of Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai to Uttarakhand last October and stressed on the need for promoting connectivity between Uttarakhand and Nepal as well as exploring opportunity in medicinal herbs. Likewise, Rakesh Aggrawal, Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) of Uttarakhand, spoke on the importance of developing business linkages.
