Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun urged the private sector to support the government to save country's economy.

Interacting with the private sector led by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) on Wednesday, Minister Pun said that while the country is passing though critical political situation, the private sector should also play vital role to control the deteriorating condition of national economy.

Asking the suggestions from the private sector for the economic development of the country, Pun said that the government is committed to implement the suggestions given by the private sector along with boosting confidence and morale of the investors.

The apex body of business entrepreneurs, FNCCI delegation led by president Suraj Vaidya had reached the Finance Ministry seeking the solutions to the uncertainty and economic challenges after the dissolution of Constituent Assembly (CA) on May 27.

On the occasion, Vaidya said that the aftermath of the dissolution of CA without promulgating the new constitution has dispirited the private sector as hopes and expectations of pacing the economic development after the new constitution through political stability went in vain.

Vaidya also expressed that now there should be at least common economic agenda along with forging political consensus among the political parties.

The federation is preparing to introduce economic agendas for economic development, said Vaidya, urging the government for essential support. nepalnews.com
