NRN North America holds meeting on knowledge sharing

NRN National Coordination Council, in collaboration with Institute of Engineering, held a seminar on Knowledge Transfer at Pulchowk Campus in Kathmandu on Saturday.

The purpose of the seminar was to build a bridge between professional Non Resident Nepalis (NRNs) and their counterparts in Nepal.

Speaking during the occasion, President of NRN North America, Suman Timsina, emphasized on the importance of skill and knowledge sharing and gave several examples of the work done by America Nepal Medical Foundation, Nepalese Engineers Association of North America, CAN USA etc.

Professors Jiba Pokhrel and Jishnu Subedi made a presentation on various issues pertaining to traffic, pollution and climate, among others.

The program was participated by various students, professionals and NRNs from Europe, other Asian countries, Australia and America as well as a representative from the US embassy.

It is learnt that a one year plan was also developed to begin a mailing list and utilize Skills Directory of NRN for professional exchanges. A plan for professional exchanges will be announced soon, according to NRN National Coordination Council. nepalnews.com
