The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 6.04 points to 411.86 points on Sunday, the first trading day of this week.
The secondary market index had closed at 405.82 points on last Thursday, witnessing an increment by 8.65 points from 397.17 points on Sunday, the first trading day last week.
As per the sub-indices, the entire group witnessed positive growth in the first trading day. Banking group gained 7.73 points, hotels 5.04 points, development bank 3.17 points, hydropower 17.4 points, finance 0.33 points, insurance 2.38 points and other 4.7 points.
Similarly, the stock market registered a turnover of Rs. 57.58 million through 1497 transactions on the day.
Last week, the market registered a turnover of Rs. 365.33 million, up by 80.53 percent from Rs. 202.3 million, the previous week. Nepalnews.com
