The delegation of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) Friday held separate meetings with President Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
The delegation led by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) president Suraj Vaidya and CACCI president Benedicto Yujuico met President Yadav and PM Bhattarai at their respective residences.
During the meetings, CACCI delegates said they got opportunity to explore Nepal’s potentials and figure out ways to boost economic and mutual relationship during their 26th CACCI conference that kicked off here on Wednesday. Â
Similarly, they emphasised that they were interested to put investment in Nepal’s potentials like infrastructure, hydropower, tourism, agriculture, health and education that are recognised by both the government and the private sector.
The delegation members also expressed their commitment to promoting Nepal’s potential sectors in their respective countries’ investors.
During the meeting, President Yadav said Nepal would soon take the course for economic revolution along with political consensus among the parties and urged foreign investors to invest here confidently.
Similarly, PM Bhattarai acquainted the delegates about the political and economic situation of the country.
He assured that the country would soon get a new constitution and move towards achieving economic prosperity through consensus among the political parties. The government has also formed Investment Board which also comprises representatives from the private sector and opted favourable policy for foreign investment., he added.
Assuring all possible support from the government, PM Bhattarai also urged the foreign investors to invest without doubt about the security of their investment. nepalnews.com
