Industrialists from the industrial hub of Bara and Parsa have bemoaned that labour dispute, extortion and load-shedding are wrecking havoc with the industrial climate of the country.

They also urged the government to take immediate steps to improve the business environment.

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has also said industries are plagued with increased customs and local taxes.

They have been lobbying for decrease and revision in tax and other such duties and customs related issues.

The FNCCI also set up its development bank with an aim to encourage local investment. Paid-up capital of the bank is Rs 10.4 million.

According to the apex body of Nepali business community, the initiative will encourage local industrial development as well as increase local economical development at Pyuthan. nepalnews.com
