The Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal (SEJON) has elected a new executive committee under the leadership of Narayan Sapkota, a journalist affiliated to Nagarik daily.
Sapkota received 74 votes, while his opponent Sanjay Neupane secured 47 votes, at the election held Saturday.
Likewise, Kuber Chalise of The Himalayan Times and Pradip Chapagain of Nepal Television have been elected vice president and general secretary respectively.
Bigyan Adhikari of Nagarik daily and Asha Thapaliya of Avenues TV have been elected secretary and treasurer respectively.
Lomas Joshi, Suresh Neupane, Kamala Thapa, Baburam Khadka and Sudarshan Oli have been elected executive members. nepalnews.com
