Technical teams comprising 210 members are set to start the work of regrouping of the UCPN (Maoist) combatants in all seven cantonments from Thursday.
The meeting of Army Integration Special Committee (AISC) held on November 28 had decided to the mobilise technical teams for regrouping from today as per the 7- point deal signed among three major political parties.
The AISC has instructed the seven teams to finalise regrouping by November 23.
The teams will prepare the details of regrouping of the combatants under various categories such as combatants to be integrated, rehabilitated and voluntarily discharged.
There are 19,602 combatants in all the cantonment who were qualified by now-defunct United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN).
According to PLA spokesperson Chandra Prakash Khanal, each team led by the member of AISC secretariat comprises 30 members. nepalnews.com
