Coordinator of the Secretariat of the Army Integration Special Committee (AISC), Balananda Sharma, on Friday has said the regrouping of combatants will complete by November 27.

Talking to journalists in Chitwan Friday, Sharma said the regrouping of the combatants is going on speedily and that the process will be over by Sunday.

According to him, more then 50 percent combatants have already gone through the regrouping process in the seven cantonment sites.

"The regrouping is being carried out satisfactory thanks to the cooperation of the combatants," he added.

According to the secretariat, a total of 9027 have been regrouped so far. Among them, 5254 combatants have chosen integration while 3777 have expressed willingness to go for voluntary retirement. However, no one has chosen the rehabilitation package.

There are 19,600 combatants in the seven PLA cantonments. The regrouping process had started on 20 November. nepalnews.com
