The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) approved the nominations of all ten new ambassadors following a hearing on Friday.

The House committee conducted hearing on seven more ambassadorial nominees on the second day today. The nominations were approved on consensus.

The ambassador nominees are: Shanker Bairagi (Switzerland), Rudra Nepal (Australia), Mukti Nath Bhatta (Denmark), Bharat Raj Poudel (Pakistan), Ravi Mohan Sapkota (Russia), Ram Mani Pokharel (Belgium), Kaman Singh Lama (South Korea), Maya Kumari Sharma (Qatar), Paras Ghimire (Myanmar) and Praladh Kumar Prasain (Israel).

The PHSC had summoned the nominees for questioning over their nominations. As per the regulations, the ambassadorial nominations must get clearance from the PHSC.
