India is taking necessary step to supply electricity to Nepal to help the latter cope with the 14 hours of daily power cuts, India’s Ambassador to Nepal Jayant Prasad said Friday.
Speaking at a screening of a documentary highlighting historic ties between Nepal and India and India’s assistance to Nepal in the field of development and education in Kathmandu, the Indian Ambassador informed that India is looking at ways to supply power to Nepal speedily and without any hassles.
He also hoped for the success of the first ministerial level meeting between India and Nepal on water resources and energy in New Delhi on February 15 and said the cooperation will help cement ties and better understanding between the two countries.
Indian Ambassador Prasad was also confident that the peace process and constitution drafting will be completed within the stipulated time period. nepalnews.com
