Five persons were killed and half-a- dozen were injured when a passenger jeep met with an accident in Kulekhani DVC-4 of Makawanpur district Sunday afternoon.
The ill-fated jeep registered as Na 1 Ja 2124 skidded off the road and fell some 50 feet below, according to the police. The jeep was heading to Kathmandu from Birgunj along hilly Trobhuvan highway.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be established.
Local people and security personnel from Bhinphedi and Sisneri police station have rescued the inured. The injured passengers have been rushed to Kathmanu and Hetauda for treatment. Nepalnews.com
