Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki- Moon will arrive in Nepal on 27 April on the invitation of National Lumbini Development Steering Committee.
The meeting of the Committee held at the committee’s office at Babarmahal under the chairmanship of committee coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal who is also the chairman of the UCPN (Maoist ) on Friday confirmed the date of the Secretary General’s Nepal visit, said RSS.
The meeting also decided to organise a special programme on 28 April in Lumbini which will attended by the Secretary General.
During his visit to New York in November last year, Dahal had met Ban and invited him to visit Nepal. Ban had also accepted Dahal’s proposal to play a lead role for the development of greater Lumbini. nepalnews.com
