The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the parliament has extended the deadline to find consensus on the disputed issues of the constitution by two more days.
A meeting of the BAC extended the deadline at the request of the dispute resolution sub-committee under the Constitutional Committee. Earlier, the BAC had said the deadline would not be extended anymore.
The sub-committee, which is headed by Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, sought more time as the successive meetings of the major parties could not reach agreement on some of the issues including state restructuring.
Meanwhile, the meeting of the Constituent Assembly scheduled to take place on Monday has been postponed till April 26. The next CA meeting will take place at 3 pm on Wednesday. nepalnews.com
