Chief Justice Khilraj Regmi has condemned the murder of Supreme Court Justice Rana Bahadur Bam on Thursday, describing it as an "attack on the entire judiciary". He further said that the incident has put a serious question mark on the security of the judiciary as well as ordinary people.
Talking to representatives of the Legal Journalist' Forum hours after SC Justice Bam was gunned down by unknown motorcycle-borne assailants in broad day-light in Kathmandu, CJ Regmi said that this was the first such instance of attack on the judiciary.
"The judiciary had never been attacked in this manner. This shows the deteriorating security situation and lack of rule of law in the country," Regmi said. nepalnews.com
