An Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) has exploded in Chatakpur of Dhangadhi on Wednesday.

District Police Office, Surkhet said an unidentified group exploded a 5 kg "pressure cooker bomb" in front of a mill. However, no human casualty or major damages has been reported.

The explosion which rocked the far-western town at around 6 am in the morning has only caused minor damages to vehicles parked nearby.

The motive behind the explosion is not known as no group has taken responsibility for the bombing. Surkhet police said they are investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, couple of hours after the explosion, a second "pressure cooker bomb" was found at DK Oil Store, which is few hundred meters away from the mill where the first explosion had occured.

Nepal Army's bomb disposal unit has already diffused the bomb. nepalnews.com
