The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered a rehearing of multi-million dollar scam involving former Inspector General of Police (IGPs) Achyut Krishna Kharel and Moti Lal Bohora.
A joint bench of justices Khil Raj Regmi and Kalyan Shrestha on Friday issued such an order after overturning the court’s earlier verdict to give clean chit to the former IGPs who were implicated in the multi-million dollar scam while buying logistics for Nepal Police deployed in peace keeping missions in Sudan.
The verdict was reversed citing the weak basis on which the clean chit was given to the former IGPs in the case. nepalnews.com
