At least six dengue patients were found in different VDCs in Nawalparasi district this year, confirmed the District Public Health Office, Nawalparasi, RSS reports.
The dengue patients were found in the district as most of the VDCs in the district are close to Chitwan, which is one among the districts that are at high risk of dengue, informed the office.
Gaindakot, Mukundapur, Amarapuri, Rajahar and some other VDCs are at the high risk of this disease, said Harinandan Mahato, Vector Control of the office.
According to him, the disease is transferred when the female mosquito, Aedes Aejypti bites human beings and mostly the urban population is affected by the disease.
The disease is mostly seen in males as compared to the females as women cover their body parts with clothes compared to men, he said.
It has been informed that the office has visited the dengue affected areas and has destroyed eggs, organised awareness programmes and interactions to prevent the disease.
Chitwan, Rupandehi, Nawalparasi, Parsa and some other Terai districts are at high risk of Dengue disease. nepalnews.com
