Cold wave has created havoc in few Terai districts and has claimed the life of one person in Mahottari district on Monday, the first since the onset of winter.

The deceased has been identified as Aghanu Mandal, 55, of Jaukhtol of Sandha VDC-9. He died due to excessive cold as his impoverished family was not able to provide warm food, clothing and shelter to him.
