Normal life in Arghakhanchi, Dang and Pyuthan districts has been affected on Wednesday due to the bandh (general strike) called by the student wings of different political parties to protest the recent government decision to hike prices of petroleum products.
Vehicular traffic in highway sections passing through the district remains blocked while marketplaces, educational institutions, industries and private offices have been closed in response to the bandh call.
The students have also carried out angry protests in the district headquarters in these district.
Last week, the Nepal Oil Corporation had increased the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and cooking gas. nepalnews.com
