At least 3 people including a policewoman were killed when fire gutted a house in Manma bazaar of Kalikot district Thursday night.
The deceased have been identified as Sunita Pariyar, a policewoman, Sharmila Kathayat, 14, and her brother Bimal Kathayat, 8 of Dailekh.
Sharmila and her brother were studying in Balbikash School in Manma by renting a room in the house belonging to Marma Jangam in Manma bazaar.
The fire that broke out in the house through a candle lit during the load-shedding hours also destroyed property worth Rs 20,00,000, according to police.
A rescue team comprising Nepal Army, Nepal Police and locals took the fire under control at 2 am in the night. nepalnews.com
