At least three people were killed and 20 others hurt when the bus they were travelling in met with an accident at Surunga of Jhapa district on Sunday morning.
According to police, the accident could have occurred when the speeding passenger bus (Me 1 Kha 916) enroute to Dharan from Kakadbhitta lost control and crashed into a culvert at Jungekhola road section this morning.
The deceased are Nirjal Rijal, 10, the bus driver whose name could not be verified and another unidentified woman.
The injured are currently receiving treatment at Kanchenjung Hospital, Birtamod and Mechi Zonal Hospital, Bhadrapur.
