Former chairman of the erstwhile National Assembly and Rastriya Prajatantra Party leader Dr Mohammad Mohsin has passed away in course of treatment at the Birendra Military Hospital, Chhauni.
Dr Mohsin,79, who had long been paralysed, died on Wednesday. His funeral rites were conducted in Swyambhu according to Muslim tradition today.
Mohsin, who held the Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry in the Panchyat era, was Information and Communication Minister during then King Gyanendra's direct rule.
He is survived by his wife, son and five daughters. nepalnews.com
