Gulf nation Qatar has sent a proposal to the government of Nepal to establish its embassy in Kathmandu.
The Qatari government has also named its resident ambassador to Nepal, but the Nepal government is yet to decide on the proposal, according to the Foreign Ministry.
Qatar, which is one of the major job destinations for Nepali workers, has proposed to establish its diplomatic mission in Kathmandu to oversee visa processing works and bilateral relations in a more coordinated manner.
