A father believed to be mentally unstable brutally killed his three daughters by hitting them with a stone in Makwanpur district on Thursday night.

Bhakta Bahadur Rumba, 35, of impoverished Bakhrekhola, Faparbari-5 in the district killed his three daughters Laxmi, 13, Sunita Maya, 10 and Anita, 9 while they were sleeping in their house last night, police said.

The incident took place when Rumba's wife was out of home to attend a marriage ceremony of one of her relatives.
