Normal life in Siraha district has been badly affected due to the bandh (general strike) called by CPN- UMLÂ on Saturday to protest the murder of party cadre Ram Sworup Paswan.
Vehicles remain off the road in most part of the districts while major towns like Lahan, Golabazar and Mirchya remain closed due to the bandh.
The UML carders staged demonstration in the streets demanding that the government launch an independent probe into the murder.
UML activist Paswan had died in hospital while undergoing treatment after an attack of a gang a week ago. nepalnews.com
