Local people of Madi valley in Chitwan district have enforced Madi bandh on Saturday protesting against a brutal murder of a 50 years old women on the accusation of practicing witchcraft.
Vehicular movement has been obstructed in the valley while marketplaces and academic institutions have remained closed. Locals also staged demonstration in Basantapur Bazar demanding action against those involved in the murder.
Dhegani Mahato, 50, of Baghauda-2 was killed by her father-in-law BIkram Mahato on the accusation of practicing witchcraft on Friday. Police have arrested 10 persons in connection with the incident. nepalnew.com
