Pokharel elected president of PABSON

Baburam Pokharel has been elected to the president of the Private and Boarding School's Organisation, Nepal (PABSON) from the 11th national convention of PABSON held in Lalitpur.

Pokharel secured 735 votes out of the total 1258 votes cast in the election while his nearest rival Bhoj Bahadur Shahi got 523 votes. Pokharel is founder of the VS Niketan School, Naya Baneshwor.

Likewise, the three-day long convention elected Lachhya Bahadur K.C as senior vice president, Sanu Amatya as vice president from women quota and Bijaya Sambahamphe, Sajoj Raya, Gopal Krishna Shrestha and Tika Puri as regional presidents. They were all elected unopposed for the new two-year term.

Likewise, DK Dhungana has elected general secretary while DP Thapa, Rajendra Baniya, Kumar Ghimire and Krishna Adhilari have been elected secretary. nepalnews.com
