At least three people were killed and eight others injured when a minitruck they were travelling in met with an accident in eastern Nepal district of Bhojpur on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Sabitri Rai, 45, and Janak Kumari Rai, 60 of Gupteshwor-6 and Rajan Karki, 60, of Jarayotar.
The accident occurred when the goods mini truck (Ko 1 Kha 2566) returning from a village fair held in Tamke to Bhojpur district headquarters turned turtle. Police said the vehicle went out of control and overturned because of carrying too many passengers.
Those injured in the incident are receiving medical care at Bhojpur District Hospital.
Police are searching for the truck driver who is currently at large. nepalnews.com
