The Ministry of Commerce and Supplies has continued inspection in the gas factories and depots on suspicion of irregularities prolonging the shortage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) despite increased consignments from India.

Ministry's inspection teams led by Minister Bhatta, accompanied by media persons, have been inspecting the gas factories and dealers since past couple of days.

During the inspection carried out on Wednesday, the inspection team found Gaurishankar and Himal factories located at Sanga of Kavre district illegally selling the cooking gas rather than supplying to the dealers. The factories are also found to  have reduced the weight of the filled cylinders.

Minister Bhatta said that a case will be filed as per the Black Marketing Act against the owner of the factory. nepalnews.com
