Three persons have died in two separate road accidents in Morang and Nawalparasi districts on Wednesday.

Two persons died when a jeep collided with a bus at great speed at the Dumkibas section of East-Westh Highway, Nawalparasi district.

The deceased have been identified as jeep driver Rohit Tharu , 20, of Anandaban-5, Rupandehi and his helper Sona Lal Saha, who originally hails from India, according to District Traffic Office, Nawalparasi. Seven passengers of the bus involved in the accident including its driver were also injured in the incident, but they are said to be out of danger.

The accident occurred when the jeep (Lu 1 Cha 4063) belonging to a poultry farm of Kawasoti collided head on with a bus (Lu 1 Kha 4443) coming from the opposite direction at a bridge near Binayikhola.

Meanwhile, one person died and two were injured when a motorcycle was hit by a tractor last night at the Postal Highway at Jamungachhi of Katahari -7 in Morang district.

A tractor heading east had hit the motorcycle with three on board.

Media reports say Ram Briksha Yadav, 30, from Katahari -7 who was driving the motorcycle, died while undergoing treatment, whereas pillion riders Ram Balak Yadav, 20, and Sandip Yadav, 23, have been receiving treatment.

Rambalak and Sandip have been shifted to Nobel Hospital from Koshi Zonal Hospital where all three were taken.

Police has taken driver of the tractor Barun Kumar Jha of Dadarbairiya -8 into custody. Nepalnews.com
