Two girls were burnt to death after a cowshed where they were playing in caught fire in Sindhupalchowk district, police said Sunday.
The victims have been identified as Sapana Tamang, 11, and Bipana Tamang, 7, both daughters of Prem Dorje Tamang of Lishankhu VDC-9 in the district.
The two sisters were playing inside a cowshed of neighbour Dev Dorje Tamang when the fire suddenly engulfed it and burnt it into cinders.
Police investigating the case suspect that the girls could have accidentally lit fire on dry straw kept on the shed for livestock while playing. nepalnews.com
