The government has decided to launch judicial probe into the murder of Jhapa-based journalist Yadav Poudel's murder.
A cabinet meeting Thursday evening took a 'policy decision' to form the judicial committee to investigate the murder. The cabinet also decided to provide Rs 1 million relief aid to Poudel's family.
According to Finance Minister Barshaman Pun, the Home Ministry will name the members of the probe committee.
Unidentified persons had murdered Poudel, a local correspondent of Avenues TV and Rajdhani Dainik, Tuesday night in Jhapa. His dead body was left on the road. nepalnews.com
