At least five people were hurt and goods and properties worth over four million rupees were destroyed when a house at Panauti Municipality-11, Banepa was gutted by fire on Wednesday night.

Ratna Shrestha, 48, Sandesh Shrestha, 22, Anil Shrestha, 24 of Panauti Municipality-11 and Shyam Krishna Prajapati, 23,of Panauti Municipality-7 and Prem Bahadur Mijar, 31, of Panauti Municipality-10 were hurt while trying to douse the fire that broke out at the house of Dhurba Tamrakar at Namobuddha road.
