At least five people were hurt and goods and properties worth over four million rupees were destroyed when a house at Panauti Municipality-11, Banepa was gutted by fire on Wednesday night.

Ratna Shrestha, 48, Sandesh Shrestha, 22, Anil Shrestha, 24 of Panauti Municipality-11 and Shyam Krishna Prajapati, 23,of Panauti Municipality-7 and Prem Bahadur Mijar, 31, of Panauti Municipality-10 were hurt while trying to douse the fire that broke out at the house of Dhurba Tamrakar at Namobuddha road. Police said they didn’t suffer any major burns and, after receiving medical care, are out of danger.

Reports quoted police as saying that a car parked in the garage of the house, a motorcycle, a bicycle shop and household goods were destroyed by the fire. nepalnews.com
