Local people have enforced bandh (shutdown strike) in far western region demanding undivided far western region and protesting against 10- state federal model suggested by UCPN (Maoist) on Sunday.
The locals have also formed Far Western United Society to exert pressure on political parties for undivided far western region.
The cadres of Nepali Congress and CPM-UML have also participated in the demonstrations.
The bandh has thrown normal life out of gear in the region as the market places, industries and academic institutions have remained shut down and roads have been deserted since the morning. nepalnews.com
