Six children and a middle-aged woman were killed in cold blood in Bajhang district after two brothers fought over a parental property on Saturday evening.

According to Bajhang District Police Office, Birjeet BK had killed his elder brother Gagan BK's son Pawan, 6, and daughter Pabitra, 4 as the bitter family feud over parental property took an ugly turn.  Gagan then went on to murder Birjeet's wife Jankari Devi, 35, and their three sons Rajendra, 8, Karan, 5, and Keshav 4.

The two brothers had used an axe and a khukuri to murder each other's family members in a remote Dalit settlement in Syadi VDC-9 in the district, police said.

Police later arrested the two brothers while they were about to flee from the village after committing the heinous crime.

A police team from the Bajhand District Police Office has arrived in the Dalit village to carry out necessary investigation into the tragic incident. nepalnews.com
