At least four persons were killed and some 44 others were injured in two separate accidents that took place in Nuwakot on Sunday afternoon.

Three people were killed and 12 others were injured when a passenger bus heading towards Birgunj from Bindu of Nuwakot met with the accident due to brake failure on Sunday.

Pramila Shrestha, 24, died on the spot while two unidentified passengers succumbed to their serious wounds while receiving treatment at the local hospital.

In another report from the district, at least one passenger was killed and 32 others were injured when a bus met with an accident in Bhadurtar of the district.

Sabitri Kandel, 71, died when the bus (Ba 2 Kha 3607) heading to Nuwakot from Kathmandu turned turtle at Thanapati-2, Kafaldanda.

Nuwakot Police said that the casualties may rise as the condition of seven among the injured was very critical. nepalnews.com
