A woman missing for the last five days was found dead at Khureshwor community forest in Dhulikhel on Saturday.

Though police have suspected that Sita Thapa, a permanent resident of Kusha Devi VDC-4, Kavre district, committed suicide consuming poison, they are carrying out further investigation into the case, RSS reports.

Kin of the deceased and villagers had been searching the missing woman for the last five days after she did not return home though she had left home saying that she was going for a medical check-up at the local health post.

According to the villagers, Thapa was last seen in Panauti buspark at 6:00 pm on Tuesday.

Her body was found lying down in the jungle near the Devisthan temple, Dhulikhel. The local residents informed about the case to police.

Police discovered two poison bottles from the site, said Nima Tamang, Assistant Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Kavre. nepalnews.com
